Boise, Idaho.
My hometown.
Boise has always been a special place, and us native Idahoans have always known this. Over the past few years, we have seen more growth in our little town than we have in it's entire existence!
Boise, and the State of Idaho, has always had this certain 'thing', call it a nuance, a spirit, a feeling - everyone loves Boise!
As the native Idahoan that I am, I always wonder if this very special place can maintain that spirit as we transform and morph into so much more than we have ever been. Being a member of LEARNIdaho for almost a year now, I truly believe that spirit is carried on through this incredible non-profit whose mission is "to help people navigate the joys and challenges of aging and caregiving".
Idaho is, and always has been, a place where people love to live out their retirement years, and LEARNIdaho is now producing Resource Fairs for Seniors/Solo Agers and their loved ones.
We are holding our first event on April 10th, 2024 at the Meridian Senior Center-Center at the Park from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with 25 of the Treasure Valley's top businesses and organizations who are involved in the caregiving community, and our second event will be held on April 16th, 2024 at the Boise/Dick Eardley Senior Center from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with 27 vendors, including our sponsor for both events, Bowman Funeral Directors, the Boise Police Department, who will have a 'prescription give back' box, and Albertsons who will be giving vaccines.
As a member of LEARNIdaho, and the co-coordinator of the Senior Resource Fairs, I invite you to come out to our events and get to know our vendors. We will have so many valuable FREE resources under one roof for TWO dates this month, and you may be eligible for a FREE gift from our vendors at our raffle!
We look forward to meeting you!
